As I get better at producing sh*t like comics and illustrations, I'd like to eventually start producing something that DOES take itself a bit seriously. Not really because I have anything specific to "say" or whatever, but it would be a good exercise. It is definitely easier to make stuff lighthearted or goofy or sh*tposty. But personally my thoughts aren't fun and lighthearted at all. Would be nice to get some of that stuff out there and make it really work artistically.

A coworker of mine came up to me and told me he knew what my beliefs were. I was surprised and asked him what he thought they were. He replied, "Darwinism". It disturbed me a lot. I don't like to think of myself as someone who thinks like that. It's not really FUN or socially COOL to ever express my very personally critical thoughts about health and survival, procreation, sex, violence, etc. But this dude knew exactly what was on my mind 24/7. He's a veteran so that probably explains it. Or that I'm young and a father. Idk.

But yeah. I don't know how I'm gonna go about that. This zombie project "DeathDAILY" will certainly be the start of dipping my toes into that, and I do hope it serves as good practice. Though it will mostly just be fun and lighthearted. In the meantime I'm also starting to really upgrade my painting abilities as well, and realism. We shall see. It would be nice to make something serious that isn't just deep and pretentious but actually affirms instincts that people hide away from and cope about. If I work hard and keep my family alive and together maybe I can earnestly express this type of thing once I'm like 30 or 40.
